A 'Best Bed and Breakfast in Suffolk 2010' award-winner, our beautiful Suffolk half-timbered longhouse dates from the late 15th Century and sits within idyllic floral gardens, with the pretty 3 mile Beyton walk direct from the door and two acclaimed village real ale pubs within walking distance. Guests have a choice of four beautifully presented en-suite rooms, all featuring free wifi and flat screen TVs. We're perfectly placed for touring, situated with an hour's drive of the coast and within easy reach of medieval village Lavenham, Constable Country, Cambridge, Ely and Newmarket.
B&B accommodation in our barn conversion includes four spacious en-suite rooms, all individually themed, with twins or king-size doubles available. Single occupancy is welcome. All rooms have baths or showers, free wifi, flat screen TVs, alarm clocks, radios, a selection of local guides and tourist information plus hairdryers and bathrobes. Our Garden Room includes an en-suite power shower and pretty private patio whilst our spacious Blue Room has exposed oak beams and a large fully fitted bathroom with a bath. The Ivory Room offers beautiful garden views and our accessible Dairy room on the ground floor has an en-suite walk-in shower, an exposed brick wall and beams.
Additional facilities available to guests include use of a fridge/ freezer and washing, ironing and drying facilities if required. The B&B is non smoking throughout, with off road parking for six cars, including covered parking for two cars. Less mobile guests are warmly welcomed - please visit our website to view our detailed Access Statement. Delicious award-winning breakfasts are served in our beamed dining room. Light starters, full cooked breakfasts, freshly ground coffee and a choice of breakfast teas together with home-made marmalade and preserves all feature on the menu, with special diets including Gluten free happily catered for.
We're perfectly placed for touring central Suffolk and Norfolk market towns and villages. Beyton village offers regular bus services to the nearby market towns of Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket with attractions including St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Abbey Gardens and the Museum of East Anglian Life. Direct trains to Cambridge are from nearby Thurston station, with mainline intercity rail services available from Stowmarket station to London Liverpool Street.
