Property Information

Half Moon Cottage in Martham is a lovely little cottage that’s ideal for peaceful family holidays close to the seaside. Our cottage has been expertly remodelled, though many original features remain throughout. You’ll find an open fire in the lounge, as well as a feature fireplace in the dining room. Our lounge is furnished with a matching three piece suite and a Freeview TV, DVD player and music system. In the summertime you can sit out in our enclosed back garden, which has a decked patio area with alfresco dining furniture.

The beach at Winterton-on-Sea is just two miles from our cottage, where you’ll find the Winterton Dunes nature reserve, which is part of the Norfolk Coast AONB. Not only is the beach a beautiful place to take a walk and enjoy the sea air, it’s also great for bird watching and, just north of the beach, a seal colony can be regularly spotted. Those of you visiting as a family should check out bewilderwood, an adventure park specially created for children just 10 miles from our cottage, where you can find your way out of mazes, cross rope bridges and hide in tree houses. Great Yarmouth is an easy twenty minute drive away and is home to attractions like Joyland, the Norfolk Nelson Museum, Amazonia World of Reptiles, the Time and Tide Museum and much more.

Additional Information

Our holiday cottage has its very own kitchen, so you won’t have to rely on restaurants while you’re staying with us. We have equipped the kitchen with everything you’d find in your own one at home, including a larder fridge, a freezer, a washing machine, an electric cooker and a microwave, and there’s access out onto the patio where there’s a barbecue. We have one double room and one twin room, as well as a family bathroom.
