Merlin Cottage in Burnham Market is a lovely holiday cottage which we have beautifully converted into a holiday home. The cottage is set close to the heart of the village, within reach of local amenities, and is set over one level for easy access. We have added a sun room to the rear of the cottage, which provides access into the lawned garden and into the lounge, where you’ll find a warming stove for wintertime and comfortable seating in the form of a matching three seater sofa and an arm chair. When not out exploring the area, guests are welcome to make use of our Freesat TV, DVD player and Hi-Fi.
We are perfectly placed for trips to the seaside, with the beach within the Holkham Hall estate and at Wells-Next-the-Sea both less than six miles from us. These beaches are ideal for coastal walks, watersports and for simply enjoying the sea views. While you’re at the Holkham Hall beach you should take a tour of the Palladian Holkham Hall, which dates from the 18th century and has been beautifully preserved. For day trips you can visit Fakenham, just 10 miles from us, or the further-away county town of Norfolk, Norwich.
Our cottage has been equipped with a modern kitchen, with light-wood cabinets and views out into the mature back garden. We have included all required utensils and cookware in the kitchen, as well as an electric double oven, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a fridge freezer and a microwave. There is dining available in the kitchen and out in the garden. We have a twin bedroom with beautiful views, as well as an en suite double bedroom. There is a family bathroom with an over shower at the cottage.
Families are welcome to make bookings at our cottage, and we can provide a travel cot and a high chair if requested in advance, so call now to make your booking. We have a large gravelled driveway for off road parking, as well as a garage that guests can be used for bicycle storage. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at our property.
