Nestling midway between Aldeburgh and Southwold, beautiful 2, Nil-Desperandum Cottage in Middleton village is a luxurious 4 Star property just 3 miles from Minsmere nature reserve and the Dunwich Heath heritage coast. Brimming with charm, the property is a 17th Century oak timbered cottage perfect for families, couples and romantic getaways, with a spacious landscaped garden and all modern facilities including wifi. Enchanting beamed ceilings and woodburners feature in the cottage which is just 1/4 mile from a farm shop and 500 yards from a Suffolk real ale pub.
The cottage sleeps four guests in beamed living space across two floors. The two bedrooms are a first floor double with a feature brass bed and a ground floor twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The main bathroom is fully fitted with a bath and shower over and the stunning contemporary kitchen has a microwave, electric cooker with gas hob, a fridge with an ice box and a dishwasher. The light and airy sitting room with beamed ceiling features a woodburning stove plus a 32" HD flat screen TV with Freeview, a DVD and a CD music player. The dining room nestles in a beautiful beamed space near a window overlooking the garden.
Changeover day is Friday and we welcome one well trained dog by prior arrangement in the cottage (pets must be kept in the downstairs kitchen and sitting room only and must be kept off furniture). Quirky features include an original washroom with a washing machine and dryer. Ample driveway parking is on-site for two cars and the cottage has a large landscaped garden to the front, with a pretty path leading to the rear enclosed garden with a decking area and ample outdoor furniture. All gas central heating, towels, games and books plus logs/ kindling for the woodburner are included in booking price.
We offer a superb location for touring the Suffolk Coast. Nestling just off the main A12 through road, the cottage is just a short drive from spectacular Framlingham Castle, award-winning Southwold Pier, the beautiful coastal heathlands and beaches of Dunwich and we're just a stone's throw from the Snape Maltings Concert Hall, host venue of the annual Aldeburgh Music Festival.
