The property was built in 1870 as a merchant's house and offers comfortable accommodation in an excellent location. Ounce House is located just a short walk from Bury St Edmunds town centre. Within the town centre are a range of interesting buildings and attractions, such as the grade I listed Theatre Royal which is the only surviving Regency theatre in the country and puts on a variety of performances as well as offering guided tours, the Cathedral and the Greene King brewery which has tours and beer tasting. Just outside Bury, visit Ickworth House Park and Gardens and the West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village. Newmarket is also within easy reach, famous for racing and the historic city of Cambridge is about a 40 minutes drive away.
