The guest house is ideally placed for exploring both Norfolk and Suffolk. The accommodation is about half an hour away from the city of Norwich, with it's range of tourist attractions including the Cathedral, the Castle and the medieval Dragon Hall, as well as a variety of theatres, restaurants and nightlife. The Norfolk Broads are also just a short drive away. The historic town of Bury St Edmunds is just under an hour away, as is the coastal town of Lowestoft. Thetford Forest is also about 30 minutes away.

The guest house has 9 bedrooms available, with ground floor accommodation also available. Most of the rooms have en-suite facilities, and all rooms benefit from a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The largest rooms, Oak and Beech are ideal for families or groups, and Beech also has an orthopaedic mattress for guests with back problems. Two of the downstairs rooms, Swift and Swallow, have a shared bathroom and are ideal for single occupancy. Robin and Dartford are also located on the ground floor, making them ideal for guests with mobility problems and Willow and Elm are both pleasant double rooms on the first floor with stunning views overlooking the Tas Valley.

Specialities

Oakbrook House was originally built in the mid-1800s as the village school and has been expanded over the years to provide comfortable guest house accommodation. Evening meals are served by prior booking, and a menu is available on the Oakbrook House website.
