The guest house was originally two Elizabethan thatched houses, and today retains much of its original charm through period features such as a bread oven, inglenook fireplace and beamed ceilings. The accommodation also benefits from a large garden, which leads to open fields and woodland walks.
The village of Great Bricett is full of history, and has a 12th century church with a Norman Fort and one of the oldest sundials in the country. The village also has a range of pubs serving food and restaurants, some of them within walking distance and the rest no more than three miles away. For aviation history enthusiasts, the Wattisham Airfield Museum is also within walking distance of the guest house. The nearest town is Needham Market, which is home to the Needham Lake nature reserve. Further afield, visit Stowmarket, home of the Museum of East Anglian Life, Ipswich and the historic town of Bury St Edmunds.
Riverside Cottage has two bedrooms; one double and one twin. Both rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, and benefit from en-suite facilities, a TV with video player and tea/coffee making facilities. A full English breakfast is served in the dining room, and there is also a garden for guest use.
