Dating back to 1280, this historic Thirteenth Century Hall makes the perfect backdrop to enjoy fine food, beer and wines served by a team of dedicated professionals at this very special venue.
As soon as you step through the carved porch into the elegantly furnished hallway, the Wickedly Good Food Restaurant cannot fail to impress. This stunning restaurant is both a visual and culinary delight. Feast like a Tudor as you dine in the panelled Great Hall, or upstairs in the dining room, under the care of the team of executive chefs.The Wickedly Good Food Restaurant sources its food locally, using free-range and organic ingredients whenever possible. From sauces to souffles, everything is made from scratch by the two creative chefs, who have over 20 years experience in the business. Relax before or after your meal in the Library Bar, with an award winning real ale brewed on the premises or a glass of wine from an extensive wine list.
At the Wickedly Good Food Restaurant diners can enjoy Lunch, Dinner, Sunday Specials or Private Dining in a truely wonderful setting. Lunch might include: Grilled sardines with Portuguese salsa, Atlantic Prawn and Smoked Salmon saladette finished with Marie Rose sauce and fresh baked bread and butter or Goats Cheese & Sun Blushed Tomato Tart served with a dressed salad with fresh asparagus; main courses include classics such as: Braised Beef in St Peters Ale topped with a puff pastry lid served with veg and potatoes, calamari in st peters beer batter with a large bowl of tossed salad and crayfish served with strong garlic and mayonnaise or maybe famous giant fishfinger sandwich using fillets of our own battered cod, with dressed salad, chips and tartar sauce. Evening brings starters such as: Wild Boar and Suffolk Pork terrine served with a Onion Compot and Fresh Baked Bread or Crayfish, Cold water Prawns and Smoked Salmon salad masked with Marie Rose sauce and accompained with fresh baked bread and main courses such as: Belly of pork slowly braised with thyme and black pepper served onto a bed of baked red cabbage finished with a cream and aspall, Barbury Duck breast roasted with Smoked oil with green cabbage and bacon and a red wine and redcurrent sauce or Fillet of Local 28 day aged Beef medallions served with wild mushroom,vine tomatoes with a peppercorn sauce.
The St. Peter’s Brewery company is based in an attractive range of traditional former agricultural buildings adjacent to St. Peter’s Hall. The brewery was created in 1996. Siting the brewery at St. Peter’s was ideal because of the excellent water quality from their own deep bore-hole. Locally malted barley is used, together with Kentish hops to produce a range of classical English cask-conditioned ales. In addition the company produces a range of superb bottled beers.
